The Master’s Degree Programme in Politics, Institutions and Markets (PIM) aims to provide students with the essential knowledge and methodologies required to understand and interpret the processes underlying collective decision-making, the functioning of public and private institutions, and the interaction between politics and markets.

The programme is structured around a common, multidisciplinary core of courses in the first year—within which students may choose among several alternatives—and a division into two specialised tracks (curricula) in the second year.

Second-year curricula:

The Institutions and Politics curriculum offers a political science-oriented education, with particular emphasis on public policy evaluation, governance and public administration at the national, regional and local levels, the role of interest groups, electoral processes, public opinion analysis, and political communication.

The Institutions and Markets curriculum provides a set of courses with a strong economic and quantitative focus, aimed at developing a professional profile capable of operating in the organisation and management of complex institutions—both public and private—as well as in the implementation and evaluation of economic policies.
