Teaching Methods
The course aims at providing students with the necessary knowledge to deal the relationship between politics, media, and citizens/electors. What kind of relationship is there between the formation of public opinion and the voter’s choice? Which are the variables that mostly influence the electoral choice? How is a political campaign structured? Which are the features of online campaigning? What are the main features of political marketing?

The course analyses the formation of public opinion, the voter’s choice and the personalization of politics from a theoretical and empirical point of view. First module: the key word of current political communication and political marketing; II module: political campaigning of parties and movements; III module: personalization as cognitive shortcut.
